SHIPPING + HANDLING
At present, our shipping services extend domestically to the contiguous 48 United States.
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2-3 business days following payment confirmation. On some occasions (e.g., peak seasons, promotional periods, product launches, national holidays, etc.), processing time may be slightly longer. We currently offer standard and expedited shipping options for domestic orders. We will utilize the shipping method that is selected on behalf of the customer during checkout. Shipping times are carrier-specific (i.e., USPS, FedEx, UPS) and vary depending on the selected shipping method and destination. Standard shipping options usually require 3-7 business days once shipped for domestic delivery. Expedited shipping options are available for customers who require their order(s) to arrive sooner. Expedited shipping options do not guarantee same-day fulfillment, although we generally attempt to do so. All shipping methods are subject to possible carrier delays.

During the checkout process, you may notice rates displayed for a single carrier (e.g., USPS). Should you prefer shipment via an alternative carrier, (e.g., FedEx or UPS), please reach out to us before placing your order at concierge@idlekind.com. As we diligently work to maintain our inventory, we occasionally experience product unavailability. In such instances, a "Notify When Available" button will appear on the product page. By selecting this option and providing your email, you will be promptly notified once the item is restocked.
Given the high demand for restock notifications and new releases, we encourage you to opt into Restock Notifications for your desired products and subscribe to our website. This ensures you stay informed about the availability of items of interest.
Should any issues arise, please contact the shipping carrier directly. In case of damage, kindly take photos of the affected package and product, and retain the damaged package for possible carrier inspection. Claims for damaged or missing contents must be filed with the carrier promptly. If they are unable to assist, please email us at concierge@idlekind.com and we will do our best to help your case. Please know that once the package leaves our fulfillment center and is in the possession of the mail carrier, we have limited ability to assist as the carrier becomes solely responsible for any issues or incidents that may arise during transit.

If you believe your package has been lost or stolen in transit, please contact the carrier directly to begin an investigation. If they are unable to assist, please email us at concierge@idlekind.com and we will do our best to help your case. Please know that once the package leaves our fulfillment center and is in the possession of the mail carrier, we have limited ability to assist with any lost or stolen packages as the carrier becomes solely responsible for any issues or incidents that may arise during transit. In addition, we are not able to issue refunds for shipments that are marked as delivered but claimed to not be received at this time.

When placing an order to be shipped to another recipient, please ensure that you enter their details during checkout. This involves inputting your billing information and specifying the recipient's shipping address. We'll then ship the order to the address provided at checkout.

RETURNS + REFUNDS
Our Return and Refund Policy reflects our dedication to maintaining a consistent and transparent process for handling returns or refunds. We value the trust you place in us and endeavor to make every interaction with Idlekind a memorable and stress-free experience.
To be eligible for return, items must be in their unused condition, undamaged, and in original packaging. Additionally, “Final Sale” items (as specified in our Return and Refund Policy) are not accepted for return under any circumstance. Returns must be initiated by the customer within 15 days of the delivery date. Please note that personalized, custom-made, or final sale items are not eligible for returns.
An item may be deemed eligible for a refund at Idlekind's discretion in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy. Situations in which a refund may be appropriate include product defects, non-conformance with product descriptions, or the exercise of consumer rights as outlined under applicable laws or regulations. Refunds are processed from Idlekind back to the customer, to the original form of payment used for the transaction.

To initiate a return, please contact us at concierge@idlekind.com, including your desired return details and order number for prompt service. Upon approval of an eligible return, Idlekind will issue a return packaging label. Please be aware that shipping costs for both the outgoing shipment and the return label will be deducted from any refund issued. Moreover, any promotional shipping benefits, such as complimentary or free shipping, will be nullified, and the original shipping cost will be deducted from the refund if applicable. Our shipping rates are dynamic, determined by live carrier rates from USPS, FedEx, and UPS.
Returned items not in their original condition are subject to a 15% restocking fee, in addition to the aforementioned outgoing shipping and return shipping label costs.

“Natural changes” may be evident in products may of natural ingredients (e.g., candles) in the form of color change, small wax imperfections, and/or separation of wax from the inside edges of the container. Idlekind does not consider "natural changes" in certain products, such as candles made of natural ingredients, as factors contributing to a damaged item. Thus, items with signs of “natural changes” are not eligible for return.

RECYCLE + TROUBLESHOOTING
Many patrons have found success with a blend of warm to boiling water, gentle dish soap, and concentrated rubbing alcohol (ranging from 70% to 99%). These elements have garnered praise from our valued customers for effectively restoring candle containers to a state useable for other applications.
Please refer to our Candle Care page for comprehensive guidance on optimal burning techniques, including strategies to prevent tunneling. We highly recommend familiarizing yourself with this information before lighting your candle for the first time.
Should tunneling occur, where unburned wax accumulates around the edges, consider gently applying heat with a hairdryer or heat gun set to a low temperature. Exercise caution to avoid overheating the container or wax. Alternatively, employing a delicate "tent" method using tin foil can aid in redistributing heat and promoting even wax melting. In this technique, the top of the candle vessel should be wrapped with foil, while ensuring there is a hole in the top of the foil for air exchange.
Once the wax pool extends to the container edges and the surface is uniform, extinguish the flame and allow the candle to cool entirely before relighting. Remember to trim the wick to the appropriate length as needed for optimal burning performance.
If you notice your candle wick is off-center, gently nudge it back to the middle while the wax is slightly melted, using a non-flammable tool such as a wick-centering device or tweezers. Before lighting, make sure the wick is centered and trim it to the recommended length. While burning, rotate the candle occasionally to prevent the wick from drifting off-center.
In the natural course of burning candles, the warmth of the vessel is an expected occurrence. If you notice excessive warmth emanating from your candle vessel, we advise extinguishing the flame promptly. Allow the candle to cool, adjusting the wick if needed. Before relighting, ensure the wick is trimmed to an appropriate length. If you ever have concerns about the safety of burning a candle, we recommend discontinuing its use immediately. Your safety and enjoyment are our utmost priorities.
